Cost & Financial Aid

Education costs are rising nationwide for public schools and private schools. This fact is no different at Columbia Academy. As our expenses increase, we know that many families are struggling with similar economic realities of our times.
That’s why we have worked so diligently to keep our costs lower than the average private school tuition while still maintaining advanced technology and challenging and diverse opportunities for our students. We believe that we are the best educational value in the state of Tennessee – find out for yourself, but we think you’ll agree.

Annual Tuition & Fees 2012-2013

• Jr. Kindergarten - Kindergarten     $5,350.00
• Grades 1-3                                       $5,850.00
• Grades 4-6                                       $5,980.00
• Grades 7-9                                       $6,200.00
• Grades 10-12                                   $6,380.00
  
  Tuition covers admission to home athletic contests (regular season) and supplemental insurance during the school day.  Family discounts-see below.

Optional Expenses
       • Extended Day Care (Grades K-6) $525.00
**The Extended Day Care Fee will be added and calculated into the payment plan that you select. There is a $5.00 charge per day for drop-in, if not signed up on the annual extended day fee.

• Transportation Expense $700

The Trasportation Expense will be added and calculated into the payment plan that you select.  Family discounts for the second child: $400; third child: $500 and additional children: $700.  Fee will be $3.00 each for drop in riders and there are no discounts for one way riders.

• Enrollment-$100 per child*
• Book & Technology Fee-$250-Grades 1-6; $450-Grades 7-12

*Early Re-enrollment Incentive for 2012:  All current students re-enrolling by February 24, 2012 will pay $50 per student.  To be eligible for this incentive, all paperwork and fees must be received in the Business Office or be postmarked on or before February 24, 2012.

New Student Enrollment
• Application Fee (non-refundable; to be paid with application) $75.00
• Enrollment Fee (see above - to be paid on acceptance)

Family Discounts for 2012-2013 School Year
• Second Child $300.00
• Additional Children $750.00 per child

Payment Schedule
• Annually June 1-(75.00 Discount if paid by June 15)
• Semi-Annually August 1 & January 1
• Monthly - 10 payments August 1 - May 1 - monthly
• Monthly - 12 payment June 1 - May 1 - monthly

Financial Aid
Columbia Academy offers limited, need-based financial aid for students. The Financial Aid application is online and instructions for completing the application are available in the Business Office. Varsity athletes in grades 9-12 may not receive financial aid. Also, there are limited spaces available in our work-study program for students entering grades    9-12.
