Procedures for Enrolling

This checklist applies whether the enrollment is for an upcoming semester or for immediate consideration during an ongoing school year. Omission of steps is with administrative approval only.

Prospective Students (grades K-12) shall complete the appropriate steps:

__1. All: The applicant secures the application and informational brochure form the Director of Admissions who will also answer initial questions and conduct a campus tour if desired.

__2. Upper School (7-12 only): The Guidance Counselor shall conduct an interview with the applicant and the parents to determine the feasibility of scheduling as well as the attendance, behavior and academic record at the school of previous attendance. This may include contact with officials from that school. A copy of the latest report card is necessary for review at this interview.

__3. All: The applicant and parent meet for an interview with the Headmaster. Copies of the completed application and latest report card are necessary for review at this interview.

__4. All: The application is submitted with the non-refundable $50 application fee to the Business Office.

__5. All: A test date is scheduled. The Headmaster (lower school) or Guidance Counselor (upper school) administer, scores, and reviews the test with the applicant and parent.

__6. All: The applicant and parent are notified of acceptance or rejection of the application.

__7. All: Upon acceptance, the applicant pays the enrollment fee to the Business Office and is furnished a copy of the Enrollment Contract to be immediately completed and submitted.

__8. All: The Headmaster (lower school) or Counselor (upper school) sends to the previous school for the permanent records. If the health record, birth certificate, and academic records are not received in a timely manner, parents will be expected to furnish these items or applicant may not be allowed to continue attending classes.

Only Upper School Students (grades 7-12) shall complete the following steps:

__9. The applicant supplies the Counselor with a letter of reference from a minister or teacher who knows the child well.

__10. The Counselor sees that the following items are issued and/or completed:

__Class Schedule

__ Handbook

__ Emergency Registration Form
